Art Nouveau Door Series
One of the most artistic door designs that glass with class offers is the Art Nouveau series doors. Art Nouveau was a type of style that was developed in Europe and North America at the end of the nineteenth century. It was in many ways a response to the Industrial Revolution. Many artists during those times embraced the different materials that were brought about by the industrial revolution like cast iron. Others on the other hand were against such mass production of materials. However, Art Nouveau designers believed that all the arts should work in harmony to create the ultimate of in their own words, the "total work of art."
In terms of design, Art Nouveau doors are full of hyperbolas, parabolas, arches, as well as having decorative moldings that look like plants. The goal is to harmonize the different elements in order to create one unique look.
Modern Art Nouveau designers meanwhile focus more on the natural inspirations like seaweed, grasses, and insects - integrating these shapes and forms in whatever designs they are doing. These shapes and structure are very much present in our Art Nouveau doors Series.
Glass with Class Art Nouveau doors are hand carved on both sides and are made in Mahogany or other species. The doors are usually in stock and the delivery is very fast. Not only that but Oak and Mahogany elliptical transom are available in 5' 0" and 6' 0". Prehung and Prefinish are also available so as the Jamb set.
